Will QS and Pannone carry the torch for law firms’ Video Marketing?
Last week was a particularly busy one for me, as I gave two talks on behalf of Quinn Wilson Associates at the Online Marketing Conference, Olympia, London where I spoke about the importance of having an online presence and using video marketing for law firms and how it can be a useful medium for promoting a firm’s brand. Among the topics I covered, I spoke about the use of video testimonials of happy clients on a firm’s website and how they could convey a positive message powerfully.
Hot on the heels of my presentations, Quality Solicitors announced that their new £15m television advertising campaign is due to start at the end of the month, with the first airing of the new commercial set to be during the final of Dancing On Ice. Even if pouting and sequins aren’t your thing, you now have a very good reason to sit through the ITV finale on the 25th March.
QS have promised to ditch the old “Miss QS” – voiced by Amanda Holden – and are due to release a “John Lewis” style, ninety second long commercial that will be titled “For Whatever Life Brings”. It should make for interesting viewing, as will the response from viewers.
However, of particular interest to local firms will be the revamped QS website, which exactly followed my advice to from last weeks seminar to delegates about happy testimonials. They will be hosting three hundred video testimonials on their website. These promise to engage visitors already on the site and aid conversion, while also boosting traffic numbers through enhanced SEO.
Interestingly enough, Quinn Wilson’s next stop will be sponsoring The Claims Management Conference 2012 on the 21st of this month at Manchester United Football Club where Charles Layfield, Partner at Pannone, will be speaking about law firm strategy. For those not already aware, much of the recent promotional work by QS has been spear-headed by Claire Smith – formerly of Pannone – and so it will be interesting to hear what her former colleague has to say on her recent activities. I must admit, after perusing their website over the weekend, there’s not much in terms of a digital marketing strategy they have not covered at first glance.
All in all it promises to be an exciting twelve months for QS, Pannone, Quinn Wilson Associates and for the websites of law firms committed to marketing themselves effectively and competitively online as we watch whether they follow the lead of the industry’s biggest hitters.
